The very best strawberries all year round
Year-round, Blue Bite can supply the very best strawberries. Depending on the season, different varieties are grown. In winter the variety S0nsation is grown in a lighted greenhouse. In spring we supply Elsanta, Fandango and the S0nsation unexposed. In summer we offer the Favori, this variety can stand the heat well and is a perpetual bearer, which means that the plant produces fruit longer and therefore also delivers good quality strawberries. In short, Blue Bite can provide you with the best strawberries every moment of the year.
The customer is king strawberry
Thanks to the combination of varieties, the large growing area and the ability to grow in winter, we can offer the quality our customers need. Quality is different for every customer; it can be taste, shelf life, shape or a combination. Your wish is always possible, just contact Blue Bite.
How do you keep strawberries fresh?
Immediately after harvesting, our grower cools the fresh strawberries down to 3 to 5 degrees. It is hugely important that this temperature remains constant throughout the chain.
Once the strawberries reach the chef's restaurant or consumer's home, put them in the refrigerator until they are going to be eaten. For the best taste sensation, strawberries should be served at room temperature. Remove them from the refrigerator two hours before they are to be eaten. If you have leftover strawberries, which really can't be done, put them back in the refrigerator for the freshest taste experience. Strawberries will keep for up to 7 days after harvest.
